Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Project Title
Wikipedia Article Creation & Publication for Established Nutrition Brand (Policy-Compliant)
Project Description
We are seeking an experienced Wikipedia editor to assess, draft, and submit a neutral Wikipedia article related to an established nutrition and wellness brand founded in the mid-1990s by a recognised health educator and author.
This project is not marketing or PR. We are specifically looking for someone with strong experience navigating Wikipedia’s notability, sourcing, and conflict-of-interest (COI) policies, and who is comfortable working within the Articles for Creation (AfC) or Talk page process.
Brand Context (Anonymised)
The brand operates in the nutrition supplement space, with a long-standing focus on:
Plant-based essential oil blends
Digestive enzymes
Microbiotics
Greens formulations
It is closely associated with its founder, a well-known health educator and author of a widely circulated nutrition book, whose public educational work provides important context for the brand’s origins and philosophy.
Scope of Work
Phase 1: Notability & Source Assessment
Assess whether the brand (or founder) meets Wikipedia’s notability guidelines
Review existing independent, reliable third-party sources (we will provide an initial list)
Advise on the most appropriate approach:
A standalone brand article, or
Inclusion within a founder biography article
Phase 2: Article Drafting (If Eligible)
Draft a neutral, encyclopaedic article in line with Wikipedia’s tone and formatting standards
Use only independent, reliable sources (no brand-owned or promotional materials)
Properly cite all statements using Wikipedia citation requirements
Phase 3: Submission & Review
Submit the draft via Articles for Creation (AfC) or appropriate Talk pages
Fully disclose paid editing and any conflicts of interest, as required by Wikipedia
Respond to reviewer feedback and revise where necessary
Important Notes
We do not want guaranteed publication promises
We do not want promotional or marketing-style writing
We understand that Wikipedia approval is not guaranteed and value honest advice if eligibility is not met
Ideal Candidate
You should:
Have verifiable experience editing or creating Wikipedia articles
Be well-versed in:
Wikipedia notability guidelines
Conflict of Interest (COI) policy
Articles for Creation (AfC) process
Be comfortable advising not to proceed if the subject does not meet criteria
Ideally have experience with:
Health, nutrition, science, or biography-related articles
Please include:
Examples of Wikipedia pages you’ve worked on (or your editor username)
A brief outline of how you would approach this project
Confirmation that you comply with Wikipedia’s paid-editing disclosure rules
Deliverables
Notability assessment summary
Source evaluation
Draft Wikipedia article (if eligible)
Submission via AfC or Talk pages
If selected, we can provide:
Full brand and founder details
Background timelines and factual information
A preliminary list of third-party references
This project is part of a broader effort to ensure accurate, neutral, and encyclopaedic public information, in line with Wikipedia’s standards.
