Technical Writer for IT Documentation

I'm looking for a skilled technical writer to collaborate closely with our Founder and IT Lead in Houston, TX, to document routine IT tasks. The primary focus will be on creating SOPs and runbooks for our current IT team. These documents should be a combination of text and flowcharts/diagrams to ensure clarity and ease of understanding.
Key Requirements:
- Document and draft SOPs and runbooks for critical systems.
- Create knowledge-base articles for recurring software procedures and integrations.
- Produce short, unedited how-to videos (screen recordings with voice-over) for key procedures.
- Ensure all content is understandable and accessible for team members.
- Apply a consistent template and taxonomy for easy navigation and usability.
- Upload all deliverables to the agreed document repository.
- Engage in regular reviews and iterations to refine documentation.
- Participate in ongoing catch-up sessions to stay aligned with team needs.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in technical writing, particularly in IT documentation.
- Ability to create clear, concise, and structured documentation.
- Proficiency in multimedia content creation, including screen recordings and voice-overs.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a consistent documentation structure.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with the Founder and IT Lead.
