Technical Writer to Write How-to guides for Windows/ macOS

Think you have the perfect combination of geek knowledge and writing skills? We’re always looking for a few experienced writers to join our team.
What We’re Looking For –
We are looking for experienced freelance writers to cover how-to guides, product roundups and comparisons, and explainers across a myriad of topics, including, but not limited to, things like Windows, Microsoft Office, macOS, iPhone, Android, Google, Smart Home, Cloud Services, Small Business / IT, Gadgets, and many other topics.
Note: We are not looking for freelance tech news writers.
All of our writers should have the following qualities:
1. You must be a geek at heart, always looking to learn more about technology and make your gadgets work better.
2. You must be able to write tips, how-to articles, and explainers about complex topics that are clear and easy to understand, even to non-experts. Again, we are not looking for tech news writers.
3. You must be creative and have the ability to generate article ideas, take suggestions, and make topics interesting and exciting.
4. You must be at least 16 years old and have your computer.
5. You must have solid English writing skills.
6. You should have some basic screenshot and image editing chops. HTML skills are a plus.
We have a no-commitment policy, which means there is no strict quota of articles you need to complete each week. All we ask is for you to deliver the tasks you choose to take within the given deadline.

Please explain what makes you a tech geek and why you are ideal for this role.
Any previous experience you have with writing and/or blogging.
Whether or not you are currently employed, and what you do if you are.
A brief overview of the topics you are familiar with and what operating systems/computers, you have access to.
How many articles of 1500 words each can you write in a week. We have a lot of work to offer!
Most Important: We want a writing sample (preferably in the tech niche). If you have previous writing to showcase, particularly of the how-to or explainer variety, include a link to it in your email. If you have a personal blog, a forum account, or a commenter account from anywhere, feel free to include that as well.
Note that we pay up to 1Rs per word. Please only apply if you are comfortable working at this rate. And of course, we don’t have regular office hours or even an office, so you can be located anywhere— this is strictly a remote job.
