Supportive Canine Companions for Veterans
Budget: $10 – $11 USD
No-cost companion care for combat veterans.
The main goal of my project is to enhance the lifestyle of our brave yet solitary veterans, leveraging the emotional bond between dogs and humans. As this project has no strict time boundaries, we're more focused on the quality of work presented rather than meeting deadlines.
Ideal skills and expertise include:
- An understanding of psychological and/or physical therapy using dogs
- Knowledge in the field of veteran support or related areas
- Experience working with dogs
- Patience, dedication, and a passion for making a change in the lives of veterans
Candidates who have a deep understanding of the relationship between humans and dogs, and can propose innovative strategies or activities will be highly preferred.
