SEO-driven Writer & Strategist (Home Services / Cost Guides)
Budget: $2 – $8 CAD
We’re looking for an SEO-focused content strategist who can identify high-opportunity topics and produce ranking content in the home services niche (roof repair, driveway, landscaping, tree work, etc.).
This is not basic blog writing. You will own*keyword research, SERP analysis, content structure, and execution with the goal of ranking on Google.
What You’ll Do
- Use Ahrefs (or similar) to identify **high-intent, low-competition keywords**
- Build topic clusters, not isolated articles
- Analyze top-ranking pages and create **better content structures**
- Write clear, scannable articles (1,000–1,500 words)
Each article should naturally include:
- Pricing ranges
- Cost breakdowns
- Key factors affecting cost
- Comparisons (materials, scenarios, options)
Optimize:
- Title tag + H1
- H2/H3 structure
- Meta description
- Keyword placement (natural, not forced)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience with content that ranks on Google
- Strong Ahrefs (or similar) skills
- Ability to analyze SERPs and reverse-engineer winning content
- Clear, concise writing (no fluff)
- Strong understanding of search intent (informational + commercial)
Not a Fit:
- Generic SEO writers who follow templates blindly
- AI-only writers with no editing or strategy
- Keyword stuffing or outdated tactics
- No proof of ranking results
Project Details
- Ongoing work
- Start with 2–3 articles (paid test)
- Scale based on performance
- This role is about ranking and traffic, not content volume
- Preference for candidates who think in systems, clusters, and scale
To apply, please include the following in your message:
1. Articles you’ve worked on that currently rank
(include target keyword + approximate position if possible)
2. Your keyword research process (brief but specific — tools, validation steps, what you look for)
3. Briefly describe your writing process (including SERP analysis, structure, and whether/how you use AI)
