Reddit Story Finder Needed for Emotional YouTube Narratives (Long-Term Work)
Description:
I’m launching a YouTube channel focused on real, emotional stories adapted from Reddit. I’m looking for a detail-oriented person to find and filter powerful Reddit stories that can be adapted into narrated videos.
You must have a strong grasp of English, understand emotional tone, and be able to identify stories that are relatable, raw, or dramatic – the kind that holds people’s attention.
Your Tasks:
• Search subreddits like r/TrueOffMyChest, r/relationships, r/confession, r/AmItheAsshole, etc.
• Find stories that:
• Are 500–1,200 words
• Have a clear beginning, conflict, and resolution
• Include high emotional stakes (betrayal, regret, family drama, etc.)
• Avoid reposts, clickbait, or overly fake content.
• Copy the full text to a Google Doc.
• Provide a 1-sentence summary and suggested title.
• Include the Reddit link for each story.
Requirements:
• Excellent written English
• Strong understanding of human psychology and emotional content
• Able to meet deadlines and follow instructions
• Some awareness of YouTube storytelling formats is a bonus
Payment:
This is a trial project for 10 stories at £25 total.
If your work is good, this will become a weekly long-term role.
To Apply:
Please include the following in your proposal:
1. Your native language and location
2. A brief explanation of what makes a Reddit story good for YouTube
3. A link to one Reddit post (any subreddit) you think would be perfect for this channel – no need to overthink, just show me your eye for story.
Screening Notes:
Applications missing these 3 items will be ignored.
I’m looking to start this week. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to do one test story.
