Medical Science Scoping Review Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support a scoping review titled "Exploring the Role of Social Prescribing in Cancer Care." The assistant will serve as a second reviewer, primarily assisting with title and abstract screening, as well as full-text screening, to ensure articles align with the review's inclusion and exclusion criteria. Responsibilities
• Conduct a secondary review of articles during the title and abstract screening phase to identify studies relevant to the scoping review.
• Perform full-text screening of selected articles to assess their eligibility against defined inclusion and exclusion criteria.
• Collaborate with the lead researcher to resolve discrepancies in article selection.
• Maintain meticulous records of decisions using the provided research management software (Covidence).
Requirements
• Background in health sciences, public health, social science, or a related field.
• Experience in conducting or contributing to systematic/scoping reviews is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with literature databases such as MEDLINE, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and Scopus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in using reference management software and review tools (e.g., Covidence, EndNote).
