Google GMC Misrepresentation Fix
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
My Shopify-based store has just been suspended in Google Merchant Center for “Misrepresentation” and the ads I had already launched are no longer showing. Google’s warning pinpoints inaccurate product information, so I need a specialist who knows the GMC rulebook inside-out and can fast-track the account back to approved status.
Scope of the problem
• Product data: Several SKUs need tighter, fully compliant descriptions, consistent pricing between Shopify and the feed, and images that meet Google’s technical guidelines.
• Policies: The boilerplate Shopify templates are not enough. I must publish detailed Shipping & Delivery, Refunds & Returns, Legal, Expedited Delivery, and Payment policies that satisfy Google’s transparency requirements.
What I need from you
1. Audit the current Merchant Center account, feed, and Shopify catalog to locate every instance of conflicting or missing data.
2. Rewrite or adjust product descriptions, price fields, and imagery so they align 1:1 with what shoppers see on-site.
3. Draft and implement the expanded policy pages directly in Shopify so the URLs are live and crawlable for Google’s re-review.
4. Submit the account for verification and stay with the case until the “Misrepresentation” flag is cleared and ads are serving again.
Acceptance criteria
• Merchant Center status switches to “Approved.”
• Google Ads campaigns resume delivery without policy errors.
• All updated policies are visible, well-formatted, and pass Google’s automated checks.
If we work well together, I’ll need ongoing feed maintenance and policy tweaks as new products roll in, so there’s room for a long-term collaboration.
