Critical Analysis - Burnout from sport

What do I include in my critical analysis?
Your critical analysis will be developed by using the template provided, and will cover the following;
• Full reference for each article using APA 7style, including hyperlink.
• A brief summary of the aims/focus of the paper - a clear and brief explanation of the topic
or theme of the article (e.g., what is the focus area of the article, what is it investigating?).
You should also provide a brief overview of the participant cohort etc, to set the scene of
the study. This is not a copy/paste of the aims from the research paper.
• Limitations (e.g., limitations related to research design, biases (if applicable), arguments or
points not considered in the text, readability and useability of the text, credibility of the

authors).
• Strengths (e.g., consider things that strengthen the study’s credibility and the ability to be
replicated in the future). Please see the LMS – Assessment block for resources on assessing
strengths and limitations.

• Critical analysis – In your opinion, how well do both articles answer the chosen research
question.
