Climate Education Handout for High School
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm in need of a research assistant to draft a two-page handout about climate impacts, specifically extreme weather events that are impacting Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, tailored for high school students (9-12). The handout should be a balanced mix of text and graphics, making it engaging and informative for the students.
Caribbean vulnerabilities will need to be researched for this and in particular for Puerto Rico. Social demographic information will have to be referenced as well to talk about how these impact people differently at different age groups.
Key Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of extreme weather events related to climate change and how that makes populations vulnerable in particular young people who are already living in precarious environments and most likely in poverty.
- Experience in educational content creation, particularly for high school level
- Strong research skills
- Ability to present information in a balanced text and graphics format
- Knowledge of design principles for creating visually appealing handouts
