Chinese to English translators needed to localize Real Estate Agent blog posts!

Job ID: 32846902

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

ChiuHo, a trusted home buying and selling advisor in the bay area, is looking for highly motivated (traditional) Chinese to English translator(s) to assist in his real estate blog posts translation. The blog's target audience is the English native reader interested in selling San Francisco Bay Area properties. Hence, it would be ideal if you are familiar with the real estate sector.

This is not just an ordinary part-time or one-time job. ChiuHo is constantly generating traditional Chinese content. Ideally, he and his team are looking for people who can turn this opportunity into a long-term partnership should the person's performance meet the team's requirements. Will that be you?

What You'll Do

1. Read through the blog and some of its past English posts to familiarize yourself with the tone and manner. In the blog post, you should be talking to the audience like a genuine, trusted friend! Here is the blog in English: https://onebayareaagent.com/english-newest-post

2. You may translate one of the two blog webpages as follows for review/screening (open for discussion; 1-2 paragraphs could work.) We will be using these as key landing pages for marketing activities targeting the readers. Please note that originality or precision is not the priority as long as the flow and ideas are delivered. It will be even better if the content resonates with the local English readers. Feel free to Google translate the Chinese content to get the idea and paraphrase.

3. You will need to translate other Chinese articles in the blog should your translation quality meet the requirements

What You'll Need to Succeed

1. You are an English native speaker who can read and paraphrase traditional Chinese. Experienced and good at English writing
2. Highly organized, thoughtful, and proactive in driving projects forward independently

Bonus Points (But Not a Must)

1. Experience in international blog or article localization

2. Familiar and passionate about the real estate market, especially the sell side! In the longer term, you might have the chance to propose the blog's content direction and provide recommendations that will appeal to customers selling their properties. That means, you might also write something from scratch!

3. Having basic SEO concepts is a plus! You might be asked to insert some SEO keywords in the blog post for a strategic purpose. As an English native speaker, you could also come up with other keywords that you think home sellers would search on Google. Feel free to use those words should they make sense.

4. A strategic thinker who does not limit yourself to translation but can see from the bigger picture to direct the website/company for success

Remember, the ultimate goal of the website and blog posts is to gain customer trust and lead them to leave their contact for the agent, potentially initiating and closing a deal.

Budget
Let me know the way you charge.  Some say paid hourly, but our team prefers to pay by performance based. After all, the more hours one spends do not guarantee a higher quality of the work, vice versa. We do want to honor people who can efficiently produce high-quality deliverables
