Geospatial Data Analyst & Visualization Specialist (Contract)

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team on a contract basis as a Geofencing and Data Visualization Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in geofencing technology, data integration, visualization tools, and cloud platform automation.
Responsibilities:
1. Geofenced Mapping: Utilize bulk Google Sheets data to create geofenced mapping solutions. Implement geofencing techniques to accurately map addresses and locations and precise boundary definitions for target areas. Includes visual enhancements for clustering data and map filtering.
2. Data Integration: Integrate web scraped data into geospatial existing datasets. Ensure seamless integration and compatibility with mapping and visualization tools. Enhancing our overall data analytics capabilities.
a. Integrate the processed data into a centralized dashboard and reporting system, optimizing for performance and user experience.
b. Incorporate predictive analytics and AI/ML models to uncover deeper insights and trends within the data.
3. Chart and Visualization Tools: Develop interactive and informative charts, graphs, and visualizations based on geofenced data. Utilize tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to convey insights effectively.
4. Cloud Platform Automation: Utilize cloud platform databases (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, etc.) to store and manage geofenced data efficiently. Automate database processes to streamline data handling and access.
5. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and validation of geofencing solutions, data integrations, and visualization tools to ensure accuracy and reliability throughout all stages of these processes.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Document processes, methodologies, and results effectively. Recommend and design reports and insights from geofenced data for stakeholders and team members.
Qualifications:
• Expertise: Proven 5+ years of experience with software development and geospatial analysis software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) and data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R). Previous experience working on geospatial projects.
• Web Scraping: Proficiency in web scraping techniques and libraries (e.g., Beautiful Soup, Selenium).
• Visualization Skills: Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and informative charts and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Cloud Platforms: In depth experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and database automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Geography, or related field.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with API integrations and data manipulation techniques.
• Strong understanding of machine learning and AI concepts, and the ability to integrate predictive models into software applications
