Watercolor Child & Bunny Illustrations
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m putting together a children’s picture-book and I need several fully rendered, stand-alone characters that I can drop into the page layouts: one is a young female child, the other a friendly bunny. Both illustrations must feel hand-painted in soft, layered water-color, with subtle paper grain and gentle, story-book charm. Please note I will need a few different expressions from each character
Child character
• Curly hair, a tiny birth-mark on the left cheek, and a warm, curious expression.
• Outfit: navy-blue sweater featuring a centered gold shamrock, lived-in jeans, and classic white “Converse-style” tennis shoes.
Bunny character
• Pure-white fur with pale-pink inner ears, floppy ears that frame the face, and a soft, welcoming smile.
• Matching white “Converse-style” sneakers to echo the child’s footwear.
Deliverables
– several high-resolution illustrations (minimum 300 dpi) on transparent background, ready for print and digital use.
– Layered source files (PSD or Procreate) so I can make minor pose or scale tweaks later.
– A short color palette guide so subsequent pages keep the same watercolor feel.
Please keep proportions child-friendly, maintain consistent lighting and brush texture between the two pieces, and send a low-res proof for feedback before final export. I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right style match—looking forward to seeing your portfolio samples!
