Illustrate 'Manu’s Dream' Book
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
Manu’s Dream is a children’s picture book manuscript now waiting to burst into colour. I want each page to feel whimsical and playful, perfectly suited to young readers between about 3 and 8 years old. The story is written; what it needs is an illustrator who can translate Manu’s adventures into engaging, imaginative scenes that invite children to linger over the artwork while a parent reads aloud.
You’ll have full creative freedom to design the characters, settings, palettes and visual storytelling flow, so long as the tone stays light-hearted and magical. Bright colours, expressive faces and a clear sense of movement are all important to me.
Deliverables I’d like to receive:
• Full-colour illustrations for each interior spread (exact page count to be confirmed together once you see the manuscript)
• A captivating front cover (and matching back cover) that stands out on both digital storefronts and printed shelves
• Print-ready files (CMYK, 300 dpi PDF) plus layered source files in PSD or AI for any future adjustments
• Web-optimised JPEG/PNG versions for promotion
I’ll share the manuscript and reference images as soon as we connect so you can sketch a sample spread; once we agree on the look, we’ll set a realistic timeline and milestones for sketches, colouring and final polish.
