Children's Book Illustrator Needed

I’m looking for an illustrator to collaborate on a children’s picture book project centered around themes of courage, friendship, and emotional growth. The story follows a young child and their rescue dog over the course of an ordinary day that becomes extraordinary through small, brave moments. The tone is gentle, comforting, and realistic — more grounded than cartoonish — with a focus on expressive characters, warm color palettes, and emotionally rich storytelling. The book will span approximately 16 illustrated spreads (32 pages total) plus a cover and title page. I’m seeking an illustrator with experience in children’s publishing or narrative illustration who can bring depth, warmth, and subtlety to everyday moments. The style can be watercolor, gouache, or digital with soft textures, but should evoke tenderness and relatability. The goal is to create a timeless picture book that feels both modern and classic — something a child will connect with emotionally and an adult will enjoy reading aloud.
