Book Illustration Artist Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m preparing a new book and need a talented illustrator to bring its pages to life with custom artwork. The goal is to create engaging images that complement the text and help readers visualize key scenes.
Scope of work
• Illustrations only—no cover design or chapter-heading graphics are required at this stage.
• I will supply a finalized manuscript plus short scene descriptions so you understand the mood, setting, and character details for each image.
• Expect 10–15 interior illustrations; the exact count and style (full color or black-and-white) will be confirmed together once you review the brief.
Deliverables
• Print-ready files at 300 DPI (CMYK for print, RGB copies for digital).
• Editable source files (PSD, AI, or Procreate), clearly layered.
• One round of revisions per illustration after the first draft, focused on accuracy and consistency.
What will help you stand out
• A portfolio that showcases narrative book artwork, character design, or children’s/YA illustration.
• Clear communication on timeline and milestones.
• Familiarity with print layout constraints (bleed, margins) and accessibility considerations.
If this sounds like a good fit, please share relevant samples and a brief note on your creative process. I’m ready to get started as soon as we agree on style and schedule.
