AR Location-Based Social App
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
JiXler lets people “plant” an augmented-reality post in the exact spot they experienced something and makes it discoverable to anyone who passes by with the app open. Imagine a bird-watcher pointing an iPhone at a tree and instantly seeing a floating note of the rare warbler someone logged there earlier; that same mechanic can power art walks, campus tours, or hidden offers outside a shop.
This first release is iOS-only, so the build should lean on Swift, ARKit, Core Location, MapKit (or an equivalent), and a lightweight real-time back-end such as Firebase or Supabase for rapid iteration.
Core functionality I need implemented:
• User profiles that store a username, avatar, bio, and basic stats.
• Posting and viewing AR content: photo, short video, or text that anchors to GPS coordinates and appears in 3-D space through the camera view. Radius-based visibility and simple moderation tools are a must.
• In-app messaging so explorers can chat privately about discoveries or organise meetups.
Please send a detailed project proposal that covers your technical approach, high-level architecture, a phased timeline with milestones, and any prior experience building AR or location-based apps. Including quick wireframes or flow diagrams will help me picture your solution and move faster to award the project.
