2 wire protocol connection Esp UART

We need to connect esp32 uart to Gilbarco 2 wire which is. Positive and negative. Gilbarco 2 wire protocol which is an asynchronous serial link, using standard NRZ communications between UARTs. There are two not-quite-standard aspects:
1) It is a 40 mA current loop, (not 4-20ma)
2) Logic 1 is current ON, Logic 0 is current Off.

We would like someone to implement the connect so that we can send command and receive data from Gilbarco dispensee
