USB Host Driver Development for Arduino
Budget: $250 – $750 SGD
I'm seeking a skilled programmer to create a USB Host driver for an Arduino Uno. This driver will interface with an Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge using the USB Test and Measurement Class (USB TMC) protocol. We have captured packets showing the transmissions occurring and there is a Github project for the TMC protocol that can help you get started.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the driver to handle data acquisition and command sending from the thickness gauge. There is at least two commands and two bulk data requests required.
- Ensure the driver can effectively manage communication with the gauge.
The processed data from the gauge should be transmitted via a serial interface.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience with Arduino programming, specifically with the Uno model and USB Host Shield
- Prior work with developing USB Host drivers.
- Familiarity with the USB TMC protocol.
- Skills in managing serial communication.
The successful freelancer will deliver a driver that allows for seamless interaction with the Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge, enabling effective data acquisition and command management.
