Smart Agriculture
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The Smart Agriculture System can be used to help benefit agriculture and be a helpful aid to help relief farmers since it decreases the load of manual efforts. Irrigation is one of the most time consuming activities in farming. The gadget we want to construct will be able to screen moisture levels within the soil and then may be used to turn on/off the water sprinkler in hopes of keeping soil moisture levels adequate for plants.
The farm monitoring system is a mixture of hardware and software additives. The hardware part includes embedded systems and software program is the Arduino ide. The Arduino ide displays readings from sensors inserted using the hardware. The special sensors used are temperature and humidity sensor, pir sensor and soil moisture sensor. The facts gathered with the aid of the sensors is sent to the Arduino UNO microcontroller.
We will be using two sensors throughout this project. The temperature/humidity sensor is used to sense temperature and/or humidity present within the atmosphere of the surrounding area. The way it works that that one pin for transmitting signals, a second pin for receiving signals and third and final pin for transferring data. It is capable of running for extended periods of time, giving us fairly accurate results. The data it sends to us is made up of the signals which contain the values gathered about temperature and humidity.
Our second sensor is the soil moisture sensor. This sensor is used for sensing moisture content within the soil. It will check for the volume of water or moisture that is present in the soil. It detects the water content in the soil and sends the data showing its readings back to us. If the water content in the soil is low, a water pump should be set off and adjust it to the appropriate level. The sensor should be able to display this information on a smartphone so an app needs to be created to show results of the project. The app should display what the current temperature is, the humidity level and the soil level. It should also allow users to change the values themselves.
*I need this project to be physically built & shipped to the United States of America. If you cannot build this and ship the fully completed, built, working project, kindly do not bid on this. It needs to come within 2-3 weeks as well. The sooner it arrives, the much better.*
