Sensors Output Convert into Digital Output

In my existing software project, I am planning to use sensors to know find the vehicle stand in correct position of not. So I want the sensors output. But the sensors output are analog. So I need a convertor/ic/board to convert the sensors output analog signal into digital, after that the digital output into RS232/Serial port communication.
