STM32H743II LCD Driver and Flash Optimization with LVGL Integration
Budget: €100 – €200 EUR
I am a PCB designer with 7 years of experience and have developed a custom board based on STM32H743II, attached to an lcwiki 7-inch IPS LCD.
Board Specifications:
- MCU: STM32H743II
- SDRAM: 32MB
- Flash: 32MB
- LCD: IPS pure RGB 1024 x 600 (NO DRIVER, LTDC)
Current Status:
I have completed the basic debugging of the board:
- LTDC: Basic functionality achieved (can fill screen with colors and text).
- SDRAM FMC: Working.
- Touch FT5624 driver: Coordinates visible via serial communication.
- QSPI: Functional.
Goals to Achieve:
1. Review and Enhance LTDC LCD Driver:
- Deeply review the LCD driver and implement missing functions like background text areas (similar to Bodmer library).
2. Rewrite FMC SDRAM Initialization Sequence:
- Use W9825G6KH driver for improved performance.
3. Implement Serial Callbacks for Live Sensor Streams:
- Quantity: 2 callbacks for streaming sensor data to the LCD.
4. Robust Double Buffering for Image Management:
- Support JPEG and C array formats.
5. LVGL Cross-Platform Implementation with Square Line Studio:
- File for image arrays in C or JPEG in flash memory.
- Simple button implementation.
- Text area for sensor data display.
- Custom font file in C stored in flash memory.
6. Touch FT5624 Driver Review and Integration with LVGL System
7. Flash Organization Strategy:
- Provide a clear strategy for flash partitioning, buffers, and memory-mapped mode to reconfigure flash using CubeMX.
Requirements:
- Experience with STM32 Cube IDE and CubeMX is mandatory.
- Familiarity with robust LCD drivers like Bodmer's TFT_eSPI library is preferred.
- The basic CubeMX configuration and Cube IDE project will be provided as a starting base.
