RTOS Display Driver for LS032 Sharp Memory LCD (ESP32-S3, PlatformIO/Arduino)

Job ID: 39499479

Budget: $15 – $25 AUD

Looking for an experienced embedded developer to create a modular, efficient display driver for a high-resolution Sharp MiP (LS032 series, 3.2”, 336x536, 1-bit) LCD running on ESP32-S3 (Arduino/PlatformIO, FreeRTOS).

Requirements:
- Must use a full framebuffer and support atomic, flicker-free display updates (no partial/line writes).
- Pixel-perfect, artefact free operation using the Sharp MiP protocol (10-bit line addressing, portrait orientation, SPI).
- Simple, thread-safe API for displaying real-time text/numbers updated by other FreeRTOS tasks.
- Font support compatible with Adafruit-GFX style bitmap fonts (eg. FreeSans8pt7b.h).
- VCOM/EXTCOMIN management must be switchable: support both hardware timer pin and software/RTOS-based toggling.
- Non-blocking, plays well with other real-time tasks.
- Deliver clean, documented C source (PlatformIO/Arduino compatible) and a sample main.cpp that demonstrates live updating from a simulated data task.
- No display hardware required on your end: You’ll receive prompt test feedback, screenshots, and debug output for rapid iteration.

To Bid:
- Briefly describe your embedded C++ and RTOS experience (any MiP or Sharp LCD projects are a bonus).
- Short outline of your approach and delivery timeline.
- (Optional) Example repo or past work.
- You can bid per hour or for supplying the deliverables as a fixed price.
- There is also potential for ongoing embedded work if interested and this collaboration is successful.
