Arduino Data Collection and Pixhawk Integration for Flight Mode Control

Project Overview:

We are looking for a skilled freelancer to assist in integrating data from an Arduino to a Pixhawk (Orange Cube) flight controller and use that data to trigger specific flight modes in Mission Planner (GCS software). The project involves collecting string data from the Arduino, transmitting it to the Pixhawk, and processing the data on the ground control station (Mission Planner). Based on this data, a threshold value should be set that, when exceeded, changes the flight mode to Return-to-Launch (RTL).

Key Requirements:

1. Data Collection from Arduino:
- Develop a method to collect string data from an Arduino microcontroller.
- Ensure the data is transmitted in real-time to the Pixhawk (Orange Cube).

2. Data Relay to Pixhawk (Orange Cube):
- The Arduino data should be sent via a suitable serial communication protocol (e.g., UART, I2C,CAN, or MAVLink) to the Pixhawk.
- Ensure the Pixhawk receives and processes the string data reliably.

3. Data Transmission to Mission Planner:
- Relay the received data from the Pixhawk to Mission Planner (Ground Control Station software).
- This can be done using MAVLink protocol, ensuring that the data is transmitted as custom parameters or telemetry data.

4. Threshold Value and Flight Mode Control:
- Set up logic on the Mission Planner side to monitor the received data.
- Configure a threshold value for the data that, when exceeded, triggers the flight mode change to Return-to-Launch (RTL).
- Ensure that the flight mode change to RTL happens seamlessly when the threshold condition is met.

Additional Requirements:
- Strong experience with Pixhawk (Orange Cube) and Mission Planner.
- Familiarity with MAVLink protocol and serial communication with embedded systems.
- Proven experience working with Arduino and integrating it with flight controllers.
- Ability to work with flight mode controls within Mission Planner.
- Documentation of the entire process, including any setup requirements and code implementation.

Deliverables:
1. Fully functional Arduino code to collect and send string data.
2. Code/firmware to handle data transmission and reception on the Pixhawk.
3. Configuration for data relay to Mission Planner.
4. Logic for triggering the RTL flight mode based on a threshold value.
5. A detailed report or documentation outlining the steps to set up and test the system.

Estimated Project Timeline:
- 7-10 days.

Budget:
INR 5K to 12K
