I need a PCB designed for a Teensy 4.1 controller that integrates multiple functions.
I am building a controller to expand the functionalities of a musical device.
My expander expands with
- more memory with search, sort + memory switch
- LED strip, LED matrix display & DMX for visual features
- Controlling via RGB LED buttons, mouse wheel & QUERTY keyboard
- RGB LED buttons & TFT displays for 10 channels
- A master controller touch TFT
Essential components to include:
- 1 x Teensy 4.1
- 1 x IN & OUT MIDI
- 4 x USB for pheriphals & 1 for firmware updates
- 1 x DMX OUT
- 1 x stereo phono out
- 1 x stereoset jacks audio in
- 2 x 10 MicroSD Memory switchboard
- 11 x TFT SPI Displays (1 with touch)
- 25 x Carbon grid touch SK6805 LED Buttons
- 4 x turnable pot knobs (MIDI)
- 1 x onboard Mouse Functionality (rotary encoder)
- 1 x onboard IR distance sensor
- 1 x control of 1 RGB LED Matrix via HUB75 (alternatively via bluetooth)
- 1 x Bluetooth
- 1 x control of 1 adressable COB RGB LED strip
The solution includes
- MOSFET switches, I2C IO expanders, TXB0108 shifters & 74HC154 to make it all happen.
The solution is devided into
- 1 main controller PCB
- 2 x 5 channel button & LED PCBs
- 1 MicroSD memory PCB
- and some few flying components mounted directly in cabinet
Ideal skills and experience:
- Proficiency in PCB design software
- Experience with Teensy 4.1 microcontrollers
- Knowledge in audio and MIDI electronics
- Familiarity with integrating multiple protocols (USB, MIDI, DMX, Bluetooth)
- Ability to create compact, functional layouts
- Knowledge in correct power handling & PCB lane design to meet correct power needs & interference avoidance
- Knowledge in stable memory handling
- Knowledge of carbon grid layer design for LED silicone touch buttons
Looking for a professional who can ensure all components work seamlessly together.
I have a 190 pages document describing the whole solution, which can be handed out when a NDA & IP document has been signed.
Expected output files of this project (will also be set up as the milestones):
1. Circuit & Schematic Design
2. PCB Layout (layout design files)
3. BOM (Bill of Materials)
4. 3D Files
5. Manufacturing Files (Gerbers, Drill, BOM, Pick & Place)
6. Power summation & guidelines
7. Simple Teensy 4.1 Arduino IDE Test files for validation that the solution works
The ideal candidate:
- Accepts NDA & IP as the first thing
- Has proven knowledge & experience within the mentioned areas/technologies
- Gives a fixed true bid (dont write $250 unless you plan to develop the solution for $250!)
- Comes with a realistic time estimate (all those writing 1 day will be ignored)
- Has skills to implement much of the features directly onboard, to save space, instead of using modules, will be prioritized (but I have also modules of USB, MIDI, DMX, bluetooth, stereo out, MicroSD & music control, if needed)
- Are willing to showcase correctly filled Teensy 4.1 pin schema for my solution prior to being awarded to ensure & proof he has the right skills.
- Has good communication skills, in english
- Is working on the project himself without middlemen
- Is dedicated solely to my project and are not swapping around several projects, while my project is going on
- Has knowledge to guide within optimal assemply of the PCB's into a casing
I hope it can be done within the given budgetframe.
Looking so much forward to start asap.
