SEPAL-Firmware Brief
So we are a small startup from Hyderabad and we are into developing some unique accessories for 2-wheelers.
Currently we are working on an infotainment platform for all bike riders which will provide the riders with android Auto/ apple carplay type of comforts, right at their fingertips.
Project Brief:
In this product, there is a hardware part and mobile app part. We have the hardware and the mobile app completely developed.
Even the firmware we have developed it in-house temporarily. And for the market launch, we are looking for professional help to thoroughly re-develop just the firmware part as per the general security standards and quality.
I believe the firmware is quite simple, we just have to pass-on the button click commands to the mobile app using serial communication. Further we have to encrypt the data so that only our mobile app can access the information and no other can connect to our hardware. Also, we need to design the firmware such that we can update the hardware over the air as needed
Major Deliverables
1. There are total 6 unique buttons, Identify the button clicks weather it is single click, or double click or long press or even combination click and pass on the appropriate command using Serial Print. (This part is already done, you can copy our code for ease)
2. Implement encryption and other necessary protocols on the hardware and app side so that only our app can get connected to our hardware. So basically no other 3rd part app should be able to connect to our hardware, also no other hardware should connect to our app
3. Allow firmware updates using mobile phone using OTG cable
4. Create a Unique identification Code for each hardware rolled out, which we should be able to detect when connected to mobile app.
