Microcontroller (Arduino, etc.) as keyboard emulator as well as LED controller
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I am looking for a freelancer who can create a microcontroller system that can function as both a keyboard emulator and an LED controller. The ideal candidate should have experience with Arduino or other microcontroller systems.
LED Control:
- The system should be able to control LED patterns and respond to user input.
- There will be 10-50 LEDs that need to be controlled.
Keyboard Emulator:
- The system should be able to function as a keyboard emulator.
- The ideal candidate should have experience with programming keyboard inputs.
Overall, the project requires a freelancer with experience in microcontroller systems, designing and laying out LED circuits, and keyboard inputs.
The project would probably also require PCB design and fabrication.
I'm looking for a system that will take a set of 40 SPDT switches and a smaller set of six toggle switches and send programmed keyboard presses back to the PC via USB.
Separately, I'm looking for the microcontroller to also accept signals from the PC via USB to light specific 12v LEDs in the switches (dependent on the signal received), independently of the button press.
In short, press the switch. Microcontroller responds by sending keystroke (F3, X, CTRL-S, whatever the switch is programmed to send) via USB to application. Application responds via USB. Microcontroller triggers that switch's specific LED, on or off, depending on response from application.
The system is currently utilizing UHID controllers, and the LEDs quickly get out of sync with the applications, as it is merely on/off per switch press.
Only candidates in the US, please, as I will need to ship custom fabricated parts to the person and will provide parts and supplies as needed.
Budget is negotiable, though the Freelancer site requires me to set a range.
