Linking boids algorithm javascript with arduino sensors

I am in the process of developing an art installation that uses this code for Boids Algorithm as a basis. I want to link the 'Coherence' and 'Visual Range' parameters from this code https://github.com/beneater/boids to some Arduino sensors so it can be played with using physical interactions with material objects.
