ESP32 Debugging & Sketch Uploading Issue
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm facing a challenging issue with my ESP32 setup. I've been programming the ESP32 with Arduino platform, using the Blink sketch, without any problems when uploading via USB. However, when I try to upload the sketch using the ESP-PROG, it's been giving me a headache.
Main Issue:
- I can upload the sketch but face errors during the process.
- This is the first step using the ESP-PROG for both upload and debug
I have 2 possible setup
- One with the ESP-PROG installed to the PCB thru a 10p IDC cable.
- One with ESP32 connected thru wire to ESP-PROG
Specifically, I encounter problems with the IDE itself. When trying to upload the sketch through the ESP-PROG, the following errors are encountered:
- Error messages from the IDE, specifically, a "Serial port not found" error
- This is the first step for Upload->Debug
I have installed the driver from FTDI and the used ZADIG. (see attached image)
If you have experience with ESP32 and ESP-PROG setups, and have successfully solved similar issues, your expertise could be of great benefit to the project. Fluency in Visual Studio Code would also be greatly advantageous. Let's get this hiccup solved together.
