Datalogger with Arduino Mega 2560, that measures temperature and humidity inside/outside
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Hi Freelancers!
So i have an assignment i need to make for my school in IoT regarding Arduino Mega 2560. Its about the following:
Design and implement a data logger for hive monitoring that can measure the temperature and humidity inside the hive and outside the hive. In addition, there must be a sensor that can measure how much sunlight the hive is exposed to (sunlight intensity). The system must measure how external weather conditions (temperature, humidity and sunlight intensity) affect the bee colony's development. Create a system with 2 x temperature and humidity sensors (1 outside and 1 inside) and 1 sensor that can measure how much sunlight the hive is exposed to (outside), which saves data on an SD card every 10 minutes. It must mark the times (date and time) each time the values are saved on the SD card. Requirements: - 1 temp sensor and 1 humidity sensor are mounted inside the hive. There must be a wire connection between the sensor and the Arduino board of approx. 15 cm. - 1 temp sensor and 1 humidity sensor and 1 light detector sensor are mounted outside the hive. There should be a wire connection between the sensor and the Arduino board of approx. 20 cm.
- 20 cm wire from battery to Arduino board connector: (Plug; DC supply; female; 5.5/2.1mm;
5.5mm; 2.1mm; for the cable; 14mm)
- You can consider placing the data logger in a small cardboard box and protecting it with foil. (If you have enough time, you can also design a 3D box that you can cut and build in MakerSpace.
Note that the data logger will be installed outside (and thus be affected by
atmospheric conditions)
The system must operate on 12V (battery or PSU under the hive).
Also you can run data
collection at home or in places where it is possible to measure temperature1, humidity1 and light outside
and temperature2 and humidity2 inside the building simultaneously. You must sample data for a minimum of 3 days
(3x 24 hours) every 10 minutes in a row
Kind regards
