Recently I have been getting error messages in Arduino IDE that prevent me from uploading new sketches to the board. I'm using a generic copy of the Nano, and running the Arduino IDE in Linux Mint.

Looking for an Arduino expert to help guide me to a solution.

This is the message I see when I attempt to upload a sketch:

Sketch uses 7358 bytes (23%) of program storage space. Maximum is 30720 bytes.
Global variables use 1321 bytes (64%) of dynamic memory, leaving 727 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.
