Arduino IDE: Need SPI slave code for Adafruit QTpy ATSAMD21

Development in the Arduino IDE for the QTpy module used as an SPI slave ontroller for an OLED display The wiring for the SPI bus on the QTpy uses Sercom0. I've installed the available SercomSPISLave library but the proper variant.h and variant.cpp files assigns PIO_SERCOM_ALT SERCOM2 instead. In either case I'd like to change the existing SPI master to an SPI slave keeping the same wiring and changing the Output pins to Inputs. I can't seem to make the example code to compile after making the appropriate changes and I could use some help!!!!
