RS-485 ASCII Integration on AT91SAM7X256 Display

Job ID: 39245994

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I'm looking for a skilled engineer to reprogram my AT91SAM7X256 display. The main task is to enable the display to accept Standard ASCII over RS-485, while keeping all the basic programming features, particularly the preset configurations, that are currently available through the user interface. The final goal is to ensure that the display and speaker function the same as they do now but with the added capability of ASCII input support. The annunciator program is stored on the processor board EPROM IC5. It is a 32 pin PLCC and a special tool is needed to extract it from its socket for program modification. On the inside-on the board itself is also a USB Type-B connector. On the outside are an Rj12 for RS485 communication and a RJ45 connection for network connection. If you do not have experience with a 32 pin PLCC, please do not try to do this.

Key Requirements:
- Expertise in working with AT91SAM7X256 displays
- Proficiency in RS-485 communication and Standard ASCII
- Experience in retaining and integrating preset configurations into new programming
- Ability to ensure user interface navigations and error handling routines remain functional
- Capable of delivering a project where final payment is made upon successful completion

It's imperative that the final product is able to accept ASCII over RS-485 and also keep the basic programming features being used. The display and speaker will work the same, just with added ASCII input support. Basically mirroring the current operational capabilities of the display and speaker. I encourage bids from professionals who can meet these requirements.
