Simple House Architecture Project
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m Alisha, an 8th-grade student who loves drawing and dreams of becoming an architect. Right now I’m starting a personal art project: a simple architectural design for a small house.
What I’d like from you
• Clear, beginner-friendly guidance that walks me through each stage of the design—from brainstorming and basic massing to a clean floor plan, elevations, and a quick 3-D visual.
• Short explanations of the concepts you use (scale, circulation, light, structure) so I understand the “why”, not just the “how”.
• A workflow I can follow with free or student-access tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, or even hand-sketches combined with digital clean-ups—whatever you feel suits a first-time designer.
Preferred outcome
1. One PDF portfolio file that shows the final floor plan, two main elevations, and at least one perspective view.
2. The editable source files (SketchUp .skp, DWG, or layered PSD/AI if you work in illustration).
3. A brief step-by-step note or screen recording outlining what you did so I can repeat the process on my own projects later.
I’m excited to learn, so please keep the communication patient and encouraging. Looking forward to seeing how we can shape this little house together!
