Rural Neighborhood Development (Kosovo)
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We are creating a ~6-hectare rural neighbourhood in a natural green setting in Kosovo, blending residential, recreational, and community spaces while preserving the landscape. An existing design team (architects, engineers) is in place.
We seek a Senior Urban Planning Advisor with at least 10 years’ experience—preferably in rural or eco-community projects—to provide strategic, conceptual, and technical guidance. The advisor will ensure minimal environmental impact, optimal spatial organization, sustainable design, and long-term community livability.
Role & Scope:
Conduct site visit and project briefing
Advise on master plan elements: road hierarchy, lot layout, green corridors, open spaces, amenities
Recommend low-impact and sustainable design principles
Collaborate with the design team in workshops and reviews
Identify and mitigate planning risks
Provide reference precedents and best-practice examples
Deliverables:
Site visit advisory report
Written feedback on draft and revised master plans
Participation in key review sessions (in-person or virtual)
Commitment: ~6 months, part-time (2–4 days/month).
Reporting: To project owner; coordination with lead architect.
Selection will be based on relevant expertise, portfolio quality, collaborative ability, cost, and availability.
