High-End Architectural Portfolio Creation
Budget: $100 – $150 USD
Hi,
I’m looking for an experienced architectural portfolio designer to develop a high-quality, professional portfolio based on materials I will provide.
The portfolio should reflect strong concept design thinking, architectural clarity, and design leadership across large-scale projects, including super high-rise residential towers, high-rise developments, and industrial masterplanning.
The final portfolio should be concise (20–25 pages) and structured to highlight both depth and breadth of experience.
Scope of work:
1. Portfolio Structure & Strategy
- Create a clean, professional portfolio (20–25 pages total)
- Organize 6 projects using a tiered approach:
• 1 main (hero) project: 6–8 pages
• 2 secondary projects: 3 pages each
• 3 supporting projects: 1–2 pages each
- Ensure strong hierarchy and clear storytelling across the portfolio
- Focus on quality and clarity, not volume
2. Portfolio Layout & Design
- Use a minimal, high-end design style similar to international firms (AECOM, SOM, Foster + Partners)
- Clean grid layout with consistent typography
- White or neutral background
- Strong visual hierarchy with minimal text
- Prioritize visuals, diagrams, and clarity over decorative graphics
3. Project Presentation
For each project, organize and present:
- Project overview (location, type, scale, key metrics)
- Short concept design narrative (clear and concise)
- Diagrams (massing, zoning, planning logic)
- Selected key drawings only (site plan, typical floor plan, section)
- High-quality visuals (renders, perspectives)
Important:
- Do NOT include excessive drawings or full technical sets
- Do NOT include calculation tables or unnecessary data
- Focus on key design decisions and clarity
4. Concept Design Emphasis
- Highlight concept design thinking and design development
- Include diagrammatic explanations such as:
• Massing evolution
• Urban response
• Planning logic
- Each project must clearly communicate the design idea
5. Diagrams Development (if needed)
- Massing diagrams
- Zoning diagrams
- Site analysis diagrams
- Functional layouts
- Circulation / logistics diagrams (especially for industrial projects)
6. Content Optimization (Very Important)
The provided material may include detailed project documentation.
You are required to:
- Simplify and extract only the most relevant content
- Combine multiple pages into single clear pages where possible
- Reduce repetition and avoid clutter
- Ensure each project is presented concisely and effectively
7. Sections to Include
- Cover page
- Professional profile
- Core expertise
- Selected projects
- Design approach / philosophy
- Skills & contact page
8. Deliverables
- Final editable file (InDesign or PowerPoint)
- High-resolution PDF suitable for professional presentation
Important Notes:
- Focus on architectural quality and clarity
- Avoid generic templates or Canva-style layouts
- Maintain a consistent visual language throughout
- Emphasize design thinking rather than technical detailing
- This is an architectural portfolio, not a graphic design exercise
Confidentiality:
- All provided materials are confidential
- The freelancer is not allowed to reuse, share, or publish any part of the work
What I will provide:
- Drawings (plans, sections)
- Renders
- Project data and descriptions
- Reference materials and structure guidance
Before proceeding, please share:
- 2–3 samples of architectural portfolios (not branding or general graphic design)
- Examples that include diagrams and project layouts
- Confirmation of software to be used (InDesign or PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- Ability to provide 1 sample page before proceeding with full project
Thank you.
