Drafting Expert for Home Renovation Plan
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
Description:
I am looking to hire an experienced architectural drafts person or architect to prepare detailed construction drawings for a residential home renovation project. The scope includes modifying and updating an existing layout, and the drawings will be used for permit applications and construction.
You’ll be working from basic sketches, photos, or existing plans and must produce accurate, professional-quality architectural drawings ready for contractor use.
Background:
- The renovation will result in 2 stories of living area and ground level of open plan carparking
- Whilst the plans you produce will be for the 3 stories mentioned in dot point 1, we would like the project to be completed over 2 stages. First the existing rear of the property to be extended. Then in the future, it will be raised to complete the 3 levels.
- Please see rough plans attached to give you a general idea.
- I can supply the previous .DWG files from the last lot of plans, however this design will be quite different.
Scope of Work:
- Create elevations and sections reflecting the renovation
- Site plan adjustments (if applicable)
- Roof and foundation plan updates
- Detailing as required for submission and construction
- Revisions based on feedback
Requirements:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, or similar drafting software
- Strong experience in residential renovations and additions
- Ability to interpret rough sketches, dimensions, and site photos
- Understanding of typical building codes and permit requirements for Brisbane City Council
- High attention to detail and clear communication
Deliverables:
- Editable source files (.dwg)
- Print-ready PDF drawing set
- Organized, professional layout suitable for builder and permit office
