Architectural Portfolio needed
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
looking to hire an architect or architectural assistant to produce a complete architectural assistant portfolio. The task is to curate, organise, and present 4 selected projects into a 25-page portfolio suitable for architectural job applications. This role requires architectural judgement first, not graphic decoration: selecting the right drawings, setting correct scales, and building a clear narrative for each project is the priority. The portfolio should clearly present each project with a concise description, my role at architectural assistant level, and a strong hierarchy of plans, sections, elevations, diagrams, and supporting visuals. The final deliverables are a screen-optimised PDF and an editable source file (Adobe InDesign preferred, using a clean, professional architectural layout that I can update later. Applicants must have an architectural background (architect, architectural assistant, or graduate) and proven experience preparing architectural assistant portfolios; applications without relevant portfolio examples will not be considered.
Here’s what I’d like you to do with me:
• Audit every plan, section, elevation, render, diagram and sketch I already have, then help me decide which pieces speak loudest for each project.
• Establish a clean, minimalist grid (consistent margins, typographic hierarchy, page numbering) and apply it across the whole book.
• Lay out each project so the flow reads like a story: title, concise brief, my role, key drawings, supporting visuals, and concise captions.
• Keep all technical information accurate—scales must read correctly, north arrows and level markers stay intact, and any line-weight conventions remain consistent.
• Produce one final outputs:
– A digital version optimised for on-screen viewing.
Preferred tools are AutoCAD, Revit and Photoshop; keep everything strictly minimalist, no heavy graphic overlays. high-res renders and any hand sketches.
