Sketchy Woodland Park Aerial Illustration
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I need a skilled architectural illustrator to create a sketch-style or watercolour aerial rendering of a new woodland concept. The look I’m after is loose, expressive linework with subtle shading—enough detail to convey form and atmosphere without drifting into photo-realism.
Scope
• Produce a single aerial 45 degree perspective that captures the overall woodland layout.
• Focus on massing, tree canopies, paths, and land contours; individual features pathways and fencing can sit in the background or be implied rather than called out.
• Final artwork should be suitable for presentation boards and web, delivered as layered PSD (or Procreate file) plus a flattened PNG/JPEG version.
I will need to describe my proposed layout (concentric circles of native Irish broadleaf trees with a stone on raised ground in the central clearing) circular pathways between the tree circles and radial pathways to the centre). Perspective from a 45 degree aerial viewpoint. The trees will be newly planted, each with a small oak plaque on the ground in front of them and supported with a 3-stake framework. The trees will be young, but around 2-3m tall and spaced approximately 4 m apart.
Acceptance
I’ll consider the job complete when the final file:
1. Clearly communicates the park’s footprint from a bird’s-eye view.
2. Maintains a hand-drawn, sketchy aesthetic (think quick ink or pencil lines with light wash).
3. Arrives in the agreed formats at 300 dpi minimum.
Please let me know your typical workflow and any samples that match this style so I can move forward quickly.
