Eco Rooftop House Frame Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need complete architectural and structural plans for a small rooftop house that will sit on top of my existing residence. The concept must be unmistakably eco-friendly, yet still practical for day-to-day living. Structurally I want a lightweight metal frame: it has to be detailed so my contractor can fabricate it without guesswork and it must integrate cleanly with the current load-bearing walls and columns.
Key elements to include
• A shallow-pitch or curved profile that maximises rain run-off while leaving space for photovoltaic solar panels.
• Layout drawings showing how the new volume connects to the stair core and utilities already in place.
• Framing plans, member sizes, and connection details in steel or aluminium.
• Roof build-up that supports the solar array—please spec cable routes, inverter location and maintenance access.
• Energy and ventilation strategy that keeps the micro-home cool without heavy mechanical systems.
Final package: dimensioned floor plan, sections, elevations, 3D visualisations, and a structural set suitable for permit submission—in DWG/PDF and an editable Revit or SketchUp model.
I will share existing CAD files and site photos once we start. My local regulations allow up to 40 m² additional roof area; your design has to stay within that envelope and respect a maximum 3 m height from current parapet. Drawings must be ready for engineer sign-off, so accuracy is essential.
