Texas Architect for Barndominium Drawings
Budget: $40 – $50 USD
I’m ready to move forward on a modern-style Barndominium that will top 4,000 sq ft and I need a Texas-licensed architect who has already taken several of these projects from sketch to approved permit set. The program calls for full-time living, so the plans must comfortably integrate:
• Bedrooms & bathrooms for a family layout
• Open kitchen and living areas with plenty of natural light
• A generous garage and additional storage bays
Because the structure blends residential finishes with metal-building construction, the drawings must address both the IBC and local Texas county requirements. Deliverables I expect include, at minimum:
1. Code-compliant site plan reflecting utility tie-ins and setbacks
2. Scaled floor plans, roof plan, and reflected ceiling plan
3. Exterior elevations and building sections that clearly convey the modern aesthetic
4. Structural sheets (foundation, framing, connection details) ready for engineer stamp
5. Basic MEP layouts sufficient for permit submission
6. Door, window, and finish schedules plus any required energy-calculation forms
7. A final, consolidated PDF plus editable CAD files
