Porch & Mudroom Engineering Approval

Job ID: 39745324

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m looking for an architectural engineer who can review an existing small residential porch and separate attached to home mudroom, produce a clear framing drawing, and provide a stamped approval letter that confirms the structure’s safety and stability for Tillamook County, Oregon. They have a 25 psf snow load for engineering structures and 36 psf snowload for prescriptive structures.

The porch and mudroom are already built; however, my buyers mortgage company requires formal architectural sign-off. I can share current dimensions, photos and any field measurements you need, but there are no formal drawings on file yet, so the first step will be creating an accurate framing plan from the information I supply.

Scope of work
• Capture the existing conditions from my notes, measurements and photographs.
• Draft a concise framing drawing suitable for submission to my municipality (PDF and CAD preferred).
• Review the structure for load paths, connections and overall integrity.
• Issue an architect-stamped letter or seal on the drawing that explicitly states the porch and mudroom meet applicable residential codes and are safe as built.

Acceptance criteria
1. Drawing clearly shows member sizes, spacing, connections and foundation details.
2. Stamped approval references current IRC or local code section for small residential additions.
3. All files delivered in editable CAD (DWG) and print-ready PDF.

If you have questions about site specifics or need additional measurements, just let me know and I’ll gather them right away. I’m ready to move quickly once we agree on the exact documentation required by the permit office.
