AS2890.1 Parking Compliance Response
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I have submitted a development-application request to council and received an RFI asking for a formal response that demonstrates how our mixed-use project’s parking arrangements comply with AS2890.1. The brief is narrow:
Carparking and Vehicle Manoeuvring
The application proposes carparking be provided with a stacked parking arrangement. The
parking provides for a mix of residential and commercial parking requirements.
With the stacked parking arrangements there is potential that vehicles will be parked in. For
instance, vehicles using the parking for the commercial component may prevent access
and/or egress to the residential parking spaces.
Details as to how parking will be managed to prevent vehicles being parked in is required to
be provided.
The applicant is required to provide vehicle manoeuvre diagrams in accordance with AS
2890.1, demonstrating that vehicles can ingress and egress from the development in a
forward direction.
The applicant is required to provide vehicle manoeuvre diagrams showing vehicles entering
and exiting the parking spaces in accordance with AS 2890.1.
You would review the current architectural drawings and develop a response to the councils request above.
