Modern Community Center Architectural Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m ready to move from concept to detailed architectural plans for a 2.2-hectare community shopping and service hub. The core of the site will revolve around vibrant retail and dining spaces, yet the layout must flow naturally into every other key function our community needs.
Scope and vision
The masterplan should feel contemporary, lively, and walkable. Picture a welcoming main promenade lined with cafés and specialty shops, anchoring toward a full-scale supermarket at one end and an entertainment zone—such as a trampoline park—at the other. In between, weave in essential services: a clinic with imaging and diagnostic facilities, a banking suite, pharmacy, bookstore, and a medical trauma centre. The design must balance these destinations with generous landscaping, shaded seating pockets, and clear pedestrian pathways separated from logical vehicle routes.
Sustainability
I expect visible, practical green strategies:
• Rooftop or canopy-mounted renewable energy (solar preferred)
• Grey-water harvesting and on-site recycling for irrigation and wash-down
• LED and daylight-balanced, energy-efficient lighting throughout public areas
• Provision for future EV charging and bicycle storage
Functional essentials
• Adequate surface and/or structured parking without dominating street frontage
• Drive-thru or takeaway kiosks that do not choke traffic flow
• Gas station and vehicle service centre on a safely segregated corner of the plot
• Gym, fitness centre, salon, hardware and security shops, gift outlets, plus flexible bays for pop-up vendors
• Robust security and surveillance coverage, clear wayfinding, universal-access restrooms, and barrier-free entries
Deliverables I need from you
1. Site-use plan showing zoning, circulation, landscape, and service cores
2. Scaled floor plans for each principal building or zone
3. Massing or basic 3D views to illustrate façade language and rooflines
4. Sustainability annotations identifying renewable, recycling, and lighting specs
5. Parking, loading, and pedestrian access diagrams with capacity counts
6. A concise design narrative explaining how the proposal meets the priorities above
Preferred formats: CAD (DWG/Revit) and PDF for drawings, plus a brief presentation deck for the narrative and renders. If you can also supply SketchUp or similar massing files, that’s a bonus.
Timeline
I’d like an initial concept pass within two weeks, followed by one round of revisions and delivery of finalized drawings shortly after.
