Modern Australian Home Architect
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I’m starting work on a brand-new family home and need a qualified architect who can collaborate with me on an hourly basis from first sketch to stamped set, always keeping Australian Standards and the NCC front of mind. The brief is simple yet demanding: create a fresh, modern residence that feels generous, light-filled and practical for everyday family life while remaining buildable within local council requirements.
You’ll guide the full design journey—concept development, spatial planning, and detailing—then refine drawings as we iterate. Expect to jump into Revit, Archicad or your preferred BIM/CAD platform for plans, elevations and sections, followed by 3D massing or walkthroughs to test ideas for orientation, passive-solar gains and cross-ventilation. I’ll provide site survey, inspiration images and any local overlays (bush-fire, wind, BASIX) we must satisfy; you weave those constraints into a cohesive design language.
Because my priorities range from flowing living/dining zones through to flexible bedroom layouts and relaxed indoor-outdoor connections, I’m open on stylistic direction—minimalist, Scandinavian, even subtle industrial edges—as long as the final solution feels contemporary, warm and distinctly Australian. Sustainability is key, so specify materials and construction details that hit energy-efficiency targets without blowing the budget.
Deliverables, reviewed and billed in weekly milestones:
• Concept sketches & mood boards
• Developed BIM model with dimensioned plans, elevations, sections
• Schedules and material palette summarising compliance with NCC & AS standards
• Final construction documentation ready for engineer & certifier sign-off
Clear communication over Zoom or Teams is essential; quick screen-shares keep momentum high. Let’s craft a modern family haven that turns heads and meets code—one thoughtful hour at a time.
