Maryland Renovation Plan Stamping
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’ve completed the preliminary drawings for a single-family residential renovation here in Maryland and now need a Maryland-licensed Architect or Professional Engineer to place the required stamp so the county will issue permits. The scope is limited to plan review, any minor code-compliance tweaks you deem necessary, and delivery of stamped drawings.
What I will provide:
• PDF and DWG files of the existing conditions and proposed renovation layout.
• Structural notes, material specs, and any additional details already drafted.
What I need from you:
• Professional review of the renovation plans to ensure they satisfy Maryland and local residential codes (2018 IRC, energy code, etc.).
• Clear mark-ups if adjustments are required, followed by final stamped sheets in PDF (and wet-signed sets if the jurisdiction demands originals—shipping at my expense).
• A brief summary letter affirming code compliance for inclusion in the permit package.
Timing is flexible but sooner is better; two weeks or less after you receive the files would keep the project on track. Let me know your license number, past experience with Maryland residential permits, and your estimated turnaround when you respond.
The plan must include the following language
Plans prepared by a Maryland licensed engineer must
also include the engineer's Maryland certification
statement in accordance with COMAR 09.23.03.10
"Professional Certification.
