House Conversion Permit Plans

Job ID: 40625653

Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD

I have hand-drawn sketches that reimagine my existing single-family house as four self-contained apartments. I now need a complete, permit-ready drawing package developed from those sketches. The overall theme stays true to a Traditional style and the street-facing exterior façade must remain unchanged, but inside each unit should follow a clearly partitioned-room layout rather than open concept or studio living.

Please take my concept drawings and turn them into a coordinated set that satisfies local building-code, zoning, and life-safety requirements. This will include dimensioned floor plans for all four apartments, code-compliant egress paths, updated elevations that respect the original façade, structural details where walls or joists are modified, and any mechanical, plumbing, and electrical sheets needed for submission.

Because the city expects a consolidated package, I will look for:

• Architectural plans, elevations, sections, schedules
• Structural notes and framing plans where alterations are proposed
• Basic MEP diagrams sufficient for permit review
• A title sheet, code summary, and drawing index

I will supply the existing condition measurements, photographs, and my initial sketches as soon as we start. Please outline any additional information you require and confirm the software you prefer to draft in (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Turn-around time and revision process are important to me, so let me know your typical workflow and how you handle updates after the first review set.

If you have experience converting older homes into multi-unit residences and can demonstrate past permit approvals, that will be a strong plus.
