I’m adding a compact home-lift to a small residential building (need both external for tenants and internal lift for duplex) in Bangalore and need a seasoned designer who can take the idea from concept sketch to tender-ready documents. The lift must be energy-efficient, run quietly, allow a tailored interior finish, and above all keep both up-front and lifetime costs down without compromising safety.
Scope of work
• Evaluate the site constraints and recommend the optimal drive type, car size, pit and headroom requirements for a four-to-five-stop private residence.
• Prepare GA drawings, shaft details, electrical/load data, and a clear specification sheet that local vendors can price against.
• Build a cost model that compares at least two compliant suppliers, highlighting acquisition price, AMC figures and typical spares so I can forecast maintenance outlays accurately.
• Verify compliance with all relevant Indian standards (IS 14665 series, NBC, any applicable EN-81 clauses) and document a safety checklist that the contractor can follow during installation and inspection.
• Suggest noise-reduction and power-saving measures (e.g., gearless MRL, regenerative drives, LED car lighting) and show how these affect operational cost.
• Provide guidance on interior material choices so the final cabin finish can match the building décor.
Acceptance criteria
1. Complete drawing set in DWG + PDF.
2. Technical specification and BOQ in editable format.
3. Cost & maintenance comparison report.
4. Standards compliance checklist signed off.
