Update Complete Building Plan Set to 2025 Florida Building Code (City of Miami)- I need to update a complete set of 11 building plan sheets (PDF format only) from 2020 for a 3,000 sq. ft. property in Miami, FL. The goal is to bring the plans into full compliance with the 2025 Florida Building Code (FBC) and prepare the set for City of Miami / Miami-Dade submission.
This is a one-time project, but my company manages several ongoing developments — so there’s potential for future collaboration if the work is done accurately, efficiently, and professionally.
Suggestions and code-related improvements are welcome.
Scope of Work
Review and update all drawings (Architectural, Structural, MEP, Plumbing, and Electrical) to meet 2025 FBC and Miami-Dade County local amendments. Current plans are available only on PDF.
Roof already installed—update the roof plan to include a small new proposed bathroom and storage area.
Provide a digitally signed and sealed Florida PE or Architect stamp on all sheets, with proper title blocks.
Deliver final PDFs and editable DWG (CAD) source files, ready for permitting.
Include revisions as needed until final approval by the City of Miami or Miami-Dade reviewers.
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience with Miami-Dade County permitting and Florida Building Code projects
Proficient in revising architectural, structural, MEP, plumbing, and electrical drawings
Familiar with City of Miami submittal and digital stamping requirements
Before Starting please confirm the following details in your initial reply:
Signing Authority:
Who will sign and seal the plans? Please provide your Florida PE or Architect License Number and Certificate of Authorization (if applicable) for City of Miami acceptance.
Turnaround Time:
Estimated completion time for updating all 11 sheets to 2025 FBC compliance (target: ideally within 10 days).
Revisions:
Confirm that revisions until City of Miami approval are included in your fee.
Deliverables:
Confirm that final deliverables include digitally signed and sealed PDFs and editable DWG source files.
Fee Proposal:
Please provide your total asking price for the entire job as a fixed fee (not hourly), including all revisions until approved by the City of Miami.
