Design Mono-Pitch Workshop Building
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
The project is a purpose-built workshop for general repairs, measuring 6 m × 12 m with a mono-pitch roof that rises to 4 m at its highest point (10° slope). A double garage-style opening sits on one gable end and a large single garage opening on the opposite gable, giving drive-through access. Two slim, high-level windows run along the taller sidewall for daylight without sacrificing wall space.
Construction is to be a steel frame clad in 50 mm freezer panel sheeting; the look and thermal performance of these panels are important to me, so the drawings need to respect their modular sizes. Internally I only need standard electrical outlets—no high-voltage supply—plus adequate general lighting, which can be shown schematically.
Deliverables required
• Fully dimensioned floor plan, roof plan and all elevations showing openings, roof pitch and panel layout
• Basic structural member schedule sufficient for a fabricator to price the steelwork
• Panel cladding layout that minimises cutting waste
• Door and window schedules with clear rough-opening sizes
• Simple electrical layout indicating outlet locations and lighting points
PDF sheets are fine for review; native CAD (DWG or similar) will be needed at sign-off so I can pass them to my fabricator and electrician. I will supply any additional site information you request once the project starts, and I’m happy to answer questions quickly to keep momentum.
